The Maharashtra Government has decided to implement the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission that will benefit around 13 lakh state government employees. After implementing the 6th pay commission recommendations for MaharashtraThe, the state government will bear an additional burden of Rs 8.091 cr. After the implementation, the employees of Maharashtra government will get an average hike of 20-30 per cent.


As the sixth Pay Commission recommendations will be implemented by the Maharashtra government from January 1, 2006, the employees will get huge amount of arrears. The arrears will be paid to the employees in installments over the next 5 years.
